In 2009 Sam graduated with an MA in Cinematography from the NFTS (a recipient of the Freddie Francis Memorial Scholarship).
Within a year of graduating his short film, CONNECT, directed by Samuel Abrahams, was BAFTA nominated, and his critically acclaimed feature, IN OUR NAME, was officially selected at the BFI London Film Festival.
Sam was chosen by BAFTA in 2011 as a “Brit to Watch” with the aim of showcasing the best of British emerging on-screen talent, to the world’s most influential film and television professionals.
Recently he shot BFI funded feature film COUPLE IN A HOLE directed by Tom Geens, which won the Golden Hitchcock, Hitchcock for Best Screenplay and Hitchcock of the Public at the Dinard British Film Festival 2015.
In 2015 he completed three narrative projects: THE TUNNEL 2: SABOTAGE for Sky / Canal + directed by Gilles Bannier, HARRY PRICE: GHOST HUNTER for ITV directed by Alex Pillau and most recently wrapped on his 4th feature film ANOTHER MOTHER’S SON for Bill Kenwright Films, directed by Chris Menaul.
